Help Us Keep Care Close To Home
About Us
Bruce Peninsula Hospitals Foundation was created at the conclusion of the Generations of Care Campaign to ensure the Campaign’s ongoing ability to provide equipment and services in perpetuity.
In 1997, Bruce Peninsula Hospitals Foundation became incorporated as an independent entity and since then, the board of directors and staff have been inspired by the mission of Bruce Peninsula Hospitals Foundation, “to assist in the meeting the healthcare needs of the people of the Bruce Peninsula area by raising funds for priority hospital projects to keep our hospitals current.”
Bruce Peninsula Hospitals Foundation strives to provide opportunities for the community to engage in philanthropic activities which support outstanding health care, to meet the needs of the people of the Bruce Peninsula, Bruce Peninsula Hospitals Foundation supports capital priority needs of Brightshores Health System for Lions Head Hospital, Wiarton Hospital and regional needs of Brightshores Health System.
The Provincial Ministry of Health does not provide all the funding required by today’s hospitals for up-to-date technology and facilities. The funds must therefore come from the people who use the services.
It’s our Mission “To lead our community in supporting our hospitals to provide exceptional rural care.”
