As the holiday season arrives, we reflect on a year filled with generosity, progress, and heartfelt
community support.
Every donation, no matter the size, helps create extraordinary outcomes.
We’ve made vital upgrades and acquired new equipment for our Peninsula
Hospitals. This past year, donor generosity funded:
• New hospital beds
• Emergency department and lab improvements
• A crucial nurse call bell system, and more
And last holiday season, our donors generously came together to raise the funds needed for:
• 10 portable cardiac monitors for Brightshores Wiarton Hospital
• An infant warmer for the emergency department at Brightshores Lion’s Head Hospital
Our loyal donors also contributed to the successful funding of the new CT scanner now operational
at Brightshores Owen Sound—benefiting patients across the entire Grey/Bruce region.

This year, Brightshores is investing in Automated Dispensing Units (ADUs) at all 6
hospitals—an exciting step forward in our commitment to high-quality, safe patient care.
ADUs use touch screens and barcode technology to ensure patients receive their medications
quickly and accurately. These advanced systems:
• Provide fast access to emergency medications
• Track inventory and alert pharmacy staff of low stock
• Improve patient safety and operational efficiency
• Give nurses and pharmacy staff more time to focus on patient care
This holiday season, we are asking our community to come together to raise $650,000 to outfit
Brightshores Wiarton and Lion’s Head Hospitals with this life-saving technology.
